Timeless consciousness
Epoch Conservation operates on the unceded and ancestral territory of the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh speaking peoples, the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, and has been stewarded by them since time immemorial.
Located in Vancouver, Canada, Epoch provides conservation and preservation services to clients across Turtle Island.
My expertise includes the conservation of 3D objects, cultural objects, archival materials, dry/waterlogged organic and inorganic archaeological materials, and public art.
I am committed to public engagement through collaborative projects, educational initiatives, and guided, hands-on workshops that foster a deeper understanding of cultural heritage conservation.
Refinement of knowledge and skill
An object is not just a passive item; it is an active record of human choices. When we look at things passed down through families or preserved in museums, we see physical evidence of how earlier generations solved problems, expressed self and status, cultivated relationships, or coped with changing environments. These items bridge the gap between abstract historical timelines and human-scale reality.
Object specialities include:
-wood
-ivory/bone
-leather/fur
-paper
-glass
-ceramics
-stone
-metals
-plastics
-gilded/painted frames
-in-situ conservation
- dry/waterlogged organic and inorganic archaeological materials
